Privacy

Everyday Resiliency has no ads, no tracking cookies and no accounts, and it doesn't sell or share anything about you. This page covers the few things that do happen when you visit.

Visit counts

The site counts page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics so I can see which projects and tools are useful. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't follow you to other sites and doesn't collect anything that identifies you. I see totals, such as how many times a page was viewed and which sites linked to it.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives the technical details your browser sends with each request, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and block attacks. Cloudflare's privacy policy covers how it handles them.

Contact form

When you send a message through the contact form, your name, email address and message come to my email inbox. I use them only to reply. They aren't stored on this site, added to a mailing list or shared. If you'd like me to delete your message, say so through the form.

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to stop spam. Turnstile runs a quick check in your browser that reads signals from your browser and device to tell a person from a bot. Cloudflare's privacy policy, linked above, covers that too.

Settings saved in your browser

Some pages remember your choices in your own browser's storage, so they're still there when you come back: the light or dark theme, the place in the Daylight Tracker, the Savings Growth Calculator settings and your picks in the Home Maintenance Checklist. They stay on your device and aren't sent to me. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.

If you tap "Use my location" in the Daylight Tracker, your browser asks your permission first. Your location is used in the page to work out sunrise and sunset, and it isn't sent to me or anyone else. A ZIP code you enter is looked up from small files on this site and added to the page's address so you can bookmark it.

Changes

If anything here changes, for example if the site ever adds affiliate links, I'll update this page.
